My Hero Academia Unveils First Trailer for Fourth Movie ‘You’re Next’ Set in a Collapsed Society

My Hero Academia fans are in for a treat as the franchise releases the first trailer, teaser visual, and the official release date for its highly anticipated fourth movie, “You’re Next.” The movie is scheduled to hit theaters on August 2, 2024.

The official My Hero Academia anime account on X (formerly Twitter) shared the thrilling first trailer, showcasing the main pro hero cast charging into battle. Alongside the trailer, a new teaser visual was revealed, featuring Class 1-A mainstays Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo, Ochaco Uraraka, and Shoto Todoroki reaching out to a mysterious All Might, adding an air of intrigue to the upcoming film. The visual also celebrates the success of the My Hero Academia manga, boasting over 85 million copies in circulation.

Supervised by My Hero Academia creator Kohei Horikoshi, the movie boasts original character drafts conceptualized by Horikoshi himself. Tensai Okumura, known for his work on “Blue Exorcist Season 1,” “The Seven Deadly Sins,” and “Naruto movie 1,” directed the film. Series regulars Yosuke Kuroda and Yoshihiko Umakoshi handled the script and character designs, respectively. The music score is attributed to Yuki Hayashi, with Kenji Nagasaki serving as an animation advisor.

While specific plot details remain elusive, the trailer hints at a mysterious All Might inheriting the vision of the original All Might, compelling the heroes to engage in another intense battle. Horikoshi had previously teased that the movie would unfold in a “collapsed society,” adding an extra layer of anticipation for fans eager to explore the new narrative direction.

In addition to the movie announcement, the article touches upon the upcoming Season 7 of My Hero Academia, set to debut in April 2024 with four recap episodes. The season will officially commence with fresh anime content on May 5. A newly released visual for Season 7 is also included, further building excitement among fans for the future of the My Hero Academia series.
