“Zombie no Arureta Sekai de Ore Dake ga Osowarenai” Novels Receive TV Anime Adaptation

On February 1, 2024, Frontier Works revealed that Rokuro Uraji’s novel series, “Zombie no Arureta Sekai de Ore Dake ga Osowarenai” (I am the only one who is not attacked in the world filled with zombies.), will be adapted into a television anime. The announcement assured fans that the anime is scheduled to air on AT-X.

Synopsis

The novel series follows the protagonist, Takemura, in a world suddenly overrun by zombies. Strangely, Takemura is the sole individual the zombies do not attack. In a typical zombie movie, this unique ability might be used for heroic zombie-fighting endeavors, but Takemura opts for a different approach—he simply acts according to his own desires amidst the zombie invasion.

Novel and Manga Background

Rokuro Uraji initiated the story on the R18 version of the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in January 2013 and concluded it in 2017. The novel series comprised three volumes published by Frontier Works between 2016 and 2017, featuring illustrations by Saburō.

In June 2021, Chihiro Masuda launched a manga adaptation of the series. Frontier Works is set to release the third volume of the manga on February 5.

Anime Adaptation

The forthcoming television anime promises a thrilling “zombie panic action” experience, providing viewers with an unconventional take on surviving a world filled with the undead. The protagonist’s unique immunity to zombie attacks adds an intriguing twist to the typical zombie apocalypse narrative.

As the anticipation for the anime adaptation builds, fans can look forward to seeing Takemura navigate the zombie-infested world according to his whims. Further details, including the release date and additional staff or cast members, are yet to be disclosed.

Stay tuned for updates on the release schedule and other exciting developments as “Zombie no Arureta Sekai de Ore Dake ga Osowarenai” makes its way to the small screen.
